LES POISSONS VOYAGEURS

The Franco-Canadian collective Les Poissons Voyageurs was born one spring day in 2008, born of the wandering spirit of a surfer-translator-interpreter who wanted to devote himself to boundless travel and the double bass.

And so he gathered a white truck, some 27 musicians who would take turns riding in it, and a repertoire that collectors of oral tradition would envy, for more than 10 years of travel.

Inspired by Moldavian taverns, Ukrainian border posts, and the volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands, Les Poissons voyageurs gather and compose a repertoire that mirrors their lives: a generous dash of humor mixed with a hearty dose of lovingly crafted music, featuring swing and Balkan influences.
