Created in 2020 by the Galilée Musique association in partnership with Le Fest Jazz, the “Les Fous-de-Châteauneuf” workshop is open to all singers, amateur musicians, and music school students who want to play in a group, hone their skills, or simply explore a new repertoire.

Quatre ateliers sont proposés :

As a partner of the workshop, Festjazz is offering a special access pass to the festival for participants enrolled in the orchestra or vocal workshop from July 21 to 26. Participants will thus have the opportunity to see the entire program, take part in meet-and-greets with festival artists, and play in jam sessions.

• A day of instrumental and vocal training, the July 21, 2026

(Trompette/cuivres, saxophone/clarinette, guitare, piano/harmonie, accordéon, basse/contrebasse, technique vocale/scat/improvisation)
Objectifs : Développer sa technique, oralité, oreille et rythme !

Cost: €45 per day

• Une journée masterclasse de musique bretonne et irlandaise, le 21 juillet 2026

Jean-Michel Veillon (flûtes) vous guidera dans l’exploration d’un atelier collectif vibrant de mélodies et rythmes entraînants !

• Big Band Jazz Orchestra of July 22–26, 2026 – Swing Special!

Led by Vincent Mascart (saxophone and conductor) and Jean-Christophe Cholet (piano and conductor).

Section cuivres : trompette, trombone
Section bois : clarinette, flûte traversière  saxophone
Section rythmique : piano, guitare, batterie, percussions, basse et accordéon
Instruments bienvenus : euphonium, cor, basson, hautbois et tuba

Objectives: Playing together, making a section sound cohesive, improvising, providing accompaniment, and performing on stage (final concert on the main stage at Fest Jazz on Sunday, July 26)

Tuition: €220 for 5 days

• Vocal Workshop July 22–26

Encadrée par Tamara Mozes et Déborah Tanguy
Objectifs : Stage de pratique vocale en groupe, technique, improvisation, chanter sur scène (concert de restitution sur la grande scène du Fest Jazz, le dimanche 26 juillet)

Tuition: €220 for 5 days

The teaching staff consists of recognized professional musicians and/or certified instructors (D.E., C.A. Jazz):

Classes are held at Collège de Notre Dame des Portes in Châteauneuf-du-Faou – 36 Paul Sérusier Street.
