RAMÈNE MA TROMPETTE
Over the past two years, this young group from Toulouse has made a huge splash in the European jazz scene.
They are six outstanding musicians who have mastered the art of ensemble playing in the true spirit of New Orleans jazz. With three women and three men, cheerful and energetic, their YouTube videos showing them playing in the streets of Toulouse have garnered tens of millions of views, and their reputation has skyrocketed. People are even referring to “Ramène ta Trompette” as the “French Tuba Skinny.”
And why the name, “Ramène ta Trompette”?
The group explains: “Just like the New Orleans street music they perform, ‘Ramène ta Trompette’ came together on the streets and squares of the Pink City, and now expands its reach wherever it is welcomed.
The group invites a different trumpeter each time to become the orchestra’s storyteller, harmonizing their musical world with the centuries-old repertoire and style of New Orleans music—with its rich, elaborate arrangements, as well as the individual and collective improvisation that gave birth to jazz.”
We are delighted to welcome them to Fest Jazz 2026
