Fifty five

Femti Fem consists of the 55 strings of this quartet, played by four musicians from different backgrounds, yet united by a shared passion: the traditional music of Northern Europe.

They present compositions and arrangements of traditional tunes—often dance tunes—drawing inspiration from Baroque and Classical aesthetics. Gentle and ethereal, yet also surprising and energetic, Femti Fem’s musical colors shift to create a journey filled with surprises and rich in landscapes, enhanced by intoxicating vocal harmonies.

The quartet brilliantly conveys the subtleties of the repertoire and specific instruments (the Swedish nyckelharpa and the Norwegian hardingfele), telling stories and other Nordic legends through their music. To be captivated, all you need is curiosity, the courage to embark on the journey, and to step through the door… Välkommen!
